In order to
be able to legally discuss loan terms and collect commissions for
mortgage transactions, you must be licensed. Federally
regulated banks and credit unions are exempted from this
requirement. For our contracted affiliates, we will provide
the licensing training at no cost.*
Licensing
training consists of 20 hours of NMLS approved pre-licensing
education, which may include state required education. In
addition, there are tests, license fee costs, credit and criminal
background checks, as well as a requirement for annual continuing
education.
Licensing
training provides a minimal amount of practical information.
For those who are involved in the active system, vocational training
is recommended and is also provided at no additional charge.
